Experience
Production manager
6 years as Production manager of the largest Portuguese
PVC work-boots injection factory, responsible for the planing
and control of the production, 130 people, stocks and recycling.
15 years as Production manager in two different kind
of plastic injection factories, with the same responsibilities
as above, plus definition and control of all the molds for plastics,
member of the Administration Board, plus the Buying department
and IT sectors.
Experience in Certification according to 9002 ISO Quality Assurance
System, later to 9001 ISO (own product conception).
Implantation of new plastic injection company to inject high
production technical products, fully automated and robotized,
from zero to start in 8 months. Start, control and management
of the company for 5 years.
Computer Programming
Started programming in Cobol 32 years ago. Then in Assembler
with my good old Spectrum machine 25 years ago, and never stopped
since..
Programming in C and Delphi
now for some years.
Built a few Linux servers and workstations, some of which still
work non-stop after 8 years, working as email, web and network
servers.
Teaching
4 years forming people on Plastics and mold technology and
basic hydraulics.
Consulting in Plastics and Mold making technology and organization.
External formator on CENFIM (Forming Center of Marinha Grande
- for plastics and molds).
Interests - personal
Programming, computers, the Internet - communications - and
my family.
Other information
Took a few programming courses (the first one in Cobol, 32
years ago)
Military service (compulsory in Portugal) of 17 months as a
NATO military.
Speak and write English fluently and also some French.
